Search and Select Tool for Matching People to Jobs and Jobs to People

Thomas International's talent management Search & Select tool enables you to search your database of people and jobs and will match people to jobs and jobs to people. With the click of a mouse, you select your job and select a button to find people that match that job. Or, you select a person and click to find the jobs that best match that person. The program does the rest.

The tool shows a graphic representation of the job requirements, enabling easy comparison of PPA personality test graph results to analyze job fit. The Comparison report (person/job) includes a rating of “goodness of fit” to the job, for an objective ranking. Individuals with goodness of fit 1, 2, or 3 against the job will be identified. You can then determine who may be considered for the role, taking into account their knowledge and skill level, or what skills can be learned to capitalize on their behavioural fit.

Determining goodness of fit

The matches of people to jobs or jobs to people are ranked by goodness of fit. The goodness of fit is a rating between 1 and 5, where 1is a good fit and 5 is a poor fit. The best fit, 1, is ranked first. A person's fit to a job will depend on many factors such as the shape of the person's profile to the shape of the job profile and the location of each of the four DISC factors in comparison to one another.
