Thomas International's personality test, the Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) is a work-based assessment that provides insights into people’s behavioural style at work.

The PPA personality test answers people questions such as:

  • What are this person's strengths and possible limitations?
  • Is this person a self-starter?
  • How does this person communicate?
  • What motivates this person?

The PPA personality test provides an understanding of work style to help identify people’s work strengths. This gives leaders valuable insight into why a person behaves the way they do, how to leverage a person's strength for the greatest success, and how to develop a person's potential. This allows managers an opportunity to interact more effectively with their staff, to engage them and to promote productivity, thus increasing leadership effectiveness.

About the PPA Personality Test

The PPA personality test can be taken online or on paper and takes about ten minutes to complete. The Thomas web account allows you to email an assessment link directly to a candidate to complete the PPA assessment online. The individual identifies qualities that are most and least like them at work from a series of 24 forced-choice items. The PPA assessment provides accurate, work-based behavioural information that you can use to address human resource issues through a selection of 16 report options. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers and it does not show "good" or "bad" qualities.
